Out of about 7.7 billion people today, only a few will leave their mark. Just a few names are still heard and mentioned up to this date. These people have either done extraordinary things, discoveries, or inventions or done the unfathomable like mass slaughter or the start of a war. Who are the people who left a mark in human history, and what were their contributions?

 

Famous People Who Made A Mark In History:

 

Scientist | Albert Einstein

 

Albert Einstein was a German physicist who proposed the theory of relativity. He changed the way people perceive time, space, and gravity. Einstein believed that the speed of light is consistent to all observers and that the observers who are moving at the same rate should be under the same physical laws. He dedicated his life to creating theories which would help us to understand life and everything that revolves around it. He made way for many concepts including the famous E=mc2. Albert Einstein discovered and carried on the holy grail of physicists.

Artist | Leonardo Da Vinci

 

Leonardo Da Vinci was an Italian scientist and artist known for his excellent works namely “The Last Supper” and “Mona Lisa.” He lived during The Renaissance period when there was a rebirth in learning and discovery. People started to embrace culture and art. He was also a sculptor, inventor, architect, and a military engineer. He loved science that’s why he dedicated his life to studying and making it the most significant influence of his works.

 

Literature | William Shakespeare

 

William Shakespeare who is also known as the “Bard of Avon” was the greatest poet who ever lived. His work namely “Romeo and Juliet” is a tragic love story that captures the heart of the people up until today. His works greatly influenced and touched human emotions from 1590 to 1630 and again, up until now.

Politician/Leader | Adolf Hitler

 

What Adolf Hitler did in the past was unfathomable that mentioning his name is sickening. However, people should learn about him, so they would know that evil can be present here on earth and that our lands have once been ruled by one. Adolf Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany. He implemented fascism which then led to World War II. He was responsible for the death of almost 11 million people, 6 million of which were Jews, and the 5 million were non-combatants. Until now, the horror of the Holocaust which pertains to the mass murders that took place during his time remains. However, it was too crushing that people chose to not think about the gas chambers that killed men and women, young and adults.

 

Religious Leader | Jesus Christ

 

Who doesn’t know the name, Jesus Christ? A believer or not, everyone knows His name. According to Pew Research Center, Christianity or the religion which believes that Jesus is the Son of God is still the largest among all the religious groups in the world with a total number of about 2.3 billion which is 31% of the world population. He was born in Bethlehem, and his life and teachings are all in the New Testament of the Bible. Christians believe that He died for us, and one day, He will come again to judge us whether we are worthy to go to Heaven, and they refer to this as the second coming.

These people made their marks throughout the history of humankind. They contributed and influenced how people live their lives now, and everyone will know them even after the people of this generation have passed.

 

Not all people believe in destiny, so perhaps it is better to use purpose. These people fulfilled theirs, and their deeds passed down. Now, it is up to us whether we want our names in every household for eternity, or we want our memories in the hearts of those who matter.
